Tokyo / Odawara → Izu

Seasonal private experience · February–early March
A premium day combining spectacular Mount Fuji views from Izu Panorama Park with the deep-pink early cherry blossoms of Kawazu.
Two sides of spring in one day
This is one of my most special seasonal tours: a journey south from Tokyo into the Izu Peninsula, designed around two unforgettable landscapes.
We begin with the clearest possible opportunity to enjoy Mount Fuji from Izu Panorama Park, then continue toward Kawazu for a relaxed walk beneath the town’s famous early-blooming cherry trees.
Seasonal note: flowering dates change every year. The itinerary can be adjusted according to bloom conditions, weather and visibility on the day.
Your day
One smooth seasonal route, with two possible meeting points.

A scenic ropeway takes us to the 452-metre summit of Mt. Katsuragi, where Ao Terrace offers spectacular views across Suruga Bay toward Mount Fuji. For an even more exclusive experience, I can also arrange a private sofa space facing Mount Fuji, where you can relax while enjoying a Japanese meal, or traditional matcha served with wagashi sweets. A privileged moment designed to make this stop much more than a simple sightseeing visit.
A flexible lunch break chosen around the day’s timing and your preferences.

Inside Izu Panorama Park
We take time to enjoy the summit rather than simply taking one photo and leaving. The ropeway ride itself takes about seven minutes, reaching Ao Terrace at 452 metres above sea level. From here, the official park highlights views of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay, landscaped water features, several observation areas, sofas and benches, plus walking paths through the summit area.
Wide-open views toward Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay from the summit terrace.
Enjoy the scenery from one of the park’s comfortable seating and lounge areas instead of rushing through the summit.
Short summit walks connect different viewpoints, photo spots and quieter corners of the mountain-top park.
Kawazu-zakura
Unlike the pale Somei Yoshino blossoms seen later in spring, Kawazu-zakura are known for their deeper pink colour and earlier flowering season.
The river walk is the heart of the experience: blossoms, small bridges, local food stands and the mountains of Izu in the background.
The experience
Why this tour
The day is structured to prioritize Mount Fuji views earlier, when conditions are often more favorable.
No group timetable. We can spend longer on photography, food or the river walk depending on what you enjoy.
Bloom and weather conditions matter. I adapt the day rather than forcing a fixed script.
Transport, ordering, etiquette and explanations are handled in English, French or Japanese.
